Derek Eakin
Vice President
Mr. Eakin is a Vice President of RMR Group (Nasdaq: RMR) and is responsible for portfolio management and strategy for the industrial and office properties managed by RMR, including Industrial Logistics Properties Trust (Nasdaq: ILPT) and Office Properties Income Trust (Nasdaq: OPI).
Mr. Eakin has more than 20 years of commercial real estate and investment management experience spanning acquisitions, asset management, capital markets and portfolio management. Prior to joining RMR in 2022, he served as Chief Investment Officer of RiverOak Capital, LLC. He began his career in the Boston Real Estate Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Mr. Eakin has served as an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Connecticut.
