Matthew Brown

Matt Brown is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of RMR Group, where he provides strategic leadership across the company’s financial operations and serves as a member of RMR’s Management Committee. In addition to his responsibilities as CFO, Mr. Brown oversees RMR’s Accounting, Finance, Tax and Internal Audit functions, supporting the firm’s operational performance and long-term growth.

Mr. Brown also serves as Chief Financial Officer of Diversified Healthcare Trust (Nasdaq: DHC) and Seven Hills Realty Trust (Nasdaq: SEVN), leading financial reporting, capital markets activities and strategic planning for both public entities.

With a career spanning 22 years in accounting, including 18 years focused on real estate and over 8 years serving in CFO roles – Mr. Brown brings deep expertise to complex real estate transactions, including portfolio acquisitions, mergers, dispositions and capital markets transactions, including debt and equity raises in both the public and private markets. His background includes extensive experience in corporate financial modeling, long-term forecasting, capital planning and reporting for both public and private entities.

Before joining RMR in 2007, Mr. Brown began his career in the audit practice at Wolf & Company, a public accounting firm based in Boston.
