Mike Caliva
Vice President | Development
Mike Caliva serves as Vice President of Development at RMR Group, where he plays a key role in advancing a diverse national portfolio of real estate projects across multiple markets and asset classes. His work spans mixed-use, multifamily, hospitality, industrial, retail, office and life sciences sectors, with projects ranging in scale and complexity from large master-planned urban districts to standalone retail developments.
With nearly two decades of experience in real estate development, acquisitions, investment management and capital markets, Mr. Caliva brings a broad perspective to the planning and execution of transformative real estate projects.
Prior to joining RMR, Mr. Caliva served as Vice President of Development at Skanska, where he led the development of multifamily, office, life science and mixed-used assets. Notable projects included 380 Stuart Street in Boston's Back Bay, Two Drydock in the Seaport District and the Longwood Place master plan. Before joining Skanska, he worked in acquisitions for STAG Industrial and also held positions within the real estate tax credit sector.
A Bentley University alumnus with a bachelor's degree in Finance, Mr. Caliva is deeply committed to professional leadership and community service. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Real Estate & Finance Association, where he co-chairs the Mentorship Committee, and serves on the board of Project Place, a non-profit dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. Additionally, he contributes to the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Regional Real Estate Development Leadership Council and NAIOP’s Capital Market Forum.
