Summit Walia

Mr. Walia serves as Vice President and Head of Acquisitions of RMR Residential. In this role, he is responsible for executing RMR Residential’s investment strategy nationwide, leading acquisition efforts and overseeing a team focused on sourcing, underwriting and closing value-add and core-plus multifamily investments. He plays a key role in driving the growth of the residential platform through disciplined investment execution and strategic market expansion.

Mr. Walia brings more than 20 years of experience across real estate acquisitions, asset management and investment strategy.

Prior to joining RMR in 2024, Mr. Walia served as Managing Director at LaSalle Investment Management, where he led acquisition efforts across the western United States and closed over $4.0 billion in multifamily and single-family rental transactions, representing approximately 13,000 units. Before that, he spent more than a decade at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in multiple roles including acquisitions, asset management and capital markets. During his tenure, he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and closing more than $2.5 billion in commercial and multifamily transactions, asset managing a large West Coast residential portfolio where he oversaw strategy and operations and raising capital from institutional investors for several of J.P. Morgan’s investment vehicles.
